“HYDRO-SPINE” Automotive Lighting Design

Inspired by the deep-sea concept of “veins as network, light as language” – extracting the rhythm of life and the order of sustenance into lighting design.

A transmission mechanism precisely drives 22 Lumai segments to undulate in unison, recreating natural wave textures.

A flexible light strip illuminates Z-shaped Lumai veins, while 69 RGB LEDs project side-rendered patterns – light moves with the veins, veins flow with the light.

Integrating bionics, mechanical transmission, and smart lighting, it creates a highly recognizable Lumai light signature.
