ok so, if the emissions are water vapor… and it naturally will seep into the oiling system for the crankshaft…
unless they solved the piston dynamic sealing system to prevent steam from escaping…
then water vapor attacks everything in the oil pan along with the crankshaft and connecting rods…
i will guess these engines will fail with normal street use around 25,000miles.
GM-toyota-Delphi-delco-remy-phinia, im sorry that the big bet on hydrogen did not pan out.
but developing hydrogen as a difficult-energy-to-store system in lieu of something like synthetic diesel fuels is short-sighted.
but then again. you dont own all the IP for synthetic diesels, so… i get it.
