GWM Aero-Acoustic Wind Tunnel Laboratory
The Aero-Acoustic Wind Tunnel Laboratory, as the key project with the largest investment scale of a single laboratory of Great Wall Motors, features the highest wind speed of 300 km/h with a nozzle area of 25 m2 and the quietest full-scale wind tunnel with a background noise of 60 dB(A) at 160 km/h. It is equipped with multiple world-class advanced facilities, including the only balance system in China capable of switching between single-belt and five-belt configurations (enabling testing of conventional vehicles, racing cars, and sports cars) and a fan system with a diameter of 9 meters, featuring an industry-first high-curvature blade design. These capabilities allow it to meet the aerodynamic and wind noise performance testing needs of all vehicle types, providing a more reliable, professional, and efficient technical platform for product development, thereby delivering higher-quality products and services to users.
