ElringKlinger ElroShield EV

ElroShield EV combines the best of ElroShield M and ElroForm, targeting the mechanical, thermal, acoustical and electro-magnetic function of xEV applications.

Standard carrier layer materials:

  • Aluminium (0.2 mm – 3 mm)
  • Stainless steel (0.2 mm – 3 mm)
  • Fire Alumnized Low Carbon Steel DX53-56 (0.2 mm – 3 mm)
  • Cold-rolled steel DC04-06 (0.6 mm – 2 mm)

Working temperature: Maximum 1,100°C (depending on material)

Characteristics:

  • Elimination of additional coatings
  • Excellent thermal properties, especially in the case of over- and misuse-loads (thermal runaway) by passing the pyro test
  • Weight reduction potentials by using of thin sheet metal designs with high structural rigidity at the same time using “in-situ processes”
  • Possibility of other functional integrating, e.g., EMC or acoustics
  • Great sustainability in terms of raw materials used
  • High recycling potentials as no coating is needed
