Together with the SBM, the IBC is designed to support the safety requirements for automated driving up to Level 4/5.
For automated driving, the integration of a SBM primes the brake system so that the vehicle can safely decelerate in the event of a failure of the IBC. The combination of these integral chassis components with the central control algorithm enables the test vehicle to react to nearly any driving situation in an optimal way.
