Porsche is expanding the model line-up of its all-electric sports sedan to include the Taycan Turbo GT and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package. The latter is built for the track and dispenses with the rear seats in favour of an even better power-to-weight ratio.
For around 70 kg less weight – compared to the Taycan Turbo – steel components are replaced with aluminium and the rear seats with carbon trim including a storage compartment.
Side aeroblades, in combination with a front spoiler and a front diffuser, increase downforce on the front axle. The result: optimised stability of the vehicle, especially during spirited cornering.
The five-layer soundproof glazing and the rear window made of high-strength thin-film glass offer the best prospects for success. This lightweight construction measure is visually complemented by exterior mirror top halves, inlays for the side skirts and B-pillar panels made of carbon.
In the rear, the model with the Weissach package features a fixed rear wing in a carbon-weave finish with wing supports fixed to the body. The total downforce here is up to 220 kg. The Weissach package logo features on both sides of the rear wing.
