To reduce the price of flat storage systems, and in accordance with phase 2 of the R134 regulation, FORVIA is developing a multi-cavity 70MPa hydrogen tank system that can be easily and safely installed under the floor and maximizes the quantity of hydrogen stored. This system made up of several tanks mounted in parallel and connected to one single on-tank-valve is homologated and delivered as a plug & play module.
FORVIA’s MultiCavity tank storage system comprises several type 4 composite vessels connected together and one single upstream on-tank valve, managing the opening and closure of the system. The MultiCavity hydrogen storage system is safety compliant with GTR13 Phase 2 and offers cost savings of up to 20%, through the rationalization of auxiliaries and shorter pipping lines.
