Precise, safe, and available vehicle location detection requires a combination of GNSS, radar, camera, and vehicle motion and position sensors as well as a standalone inertial measurement unit. Enables location detection ability.
6D: measurement of angular rates (yaw, roll, pitch), lateral, longitudinal, and vertical acceleration up to 6D, option possible with redundant yaw rate
AUTOSAR compliant
ISO 26262-compliant and achieves ASIL D
New housing for enhanced mounting and better IMO performance
Precise, safe, and available vehicle location detection
The high-performance inertial sensor calculates the relative position of the vehicle when the GNSS/feature-based positioning is interrupted, for example, when entering a tunnel. In addition:
- Fulfills the redundant requirement of a safe stop up to 120 km/h
- For highly automated driving, the sensor significantly improves offset, noise, and linearity performance
- The unit is ISO 26262-compliant and meets ASIL D requirements
