To further reduce mass, New Range Rover Sport SV clients can choose the first ultra-lightweight 23-inch Carbon Fibre Wheels fitted to a production vehicle. Available as an option, these innovative split five-spoke wheels save almost 9kg per corner – a total of 35.6kg – compared with conventional 23-inch cast-alloy wheels, resulting in improvements to outright performance, handling and ride quality.

The unique Brembo OCTYMA front calipers – the largest ever fitted to a Range Rover. Developed exclusively for Range Rover Sport SV, the world-first caliper design features eight pistons arranged in a cross shape to give improved pressure distribution, more uniform pad wear, and maximise braking efficiency.

Exclusive customisable caliper colours include Yellow, Red, Carbon Bronze and Black.

New, optional Carbon Ceramic Brakes feature 440mm front discs and deliver the ultimate in braking performance, with improved heat resistance, a longer lifespan and 34kg total weight saving over the standard Dual-Cast brakes.

    the delusion of counting mass savings to a tenth-decimal-place…

    its a 150kg human going to buy ‘diet soda’ and thinking that will help their cause.

    the new brembo calipers are nice. 440mm rotors are MASSIVE.

    which means, all the 2300+kg cars now need MOAR braking capability.
    which means they need at least 19 inch inner diameter wheel clearance…
    and perpetually bigger parts means, more mass.

    then the near-future, needs more power to move more mass to sell
    a ‘higher performance car’, than the previous year…

    all these ‘luxury’ manufacturers putting lipstick on a pig.
