The high-voltage battery (high capacity and high power) is installed under the body pavement.
Automatic battery pre-conditioning: to make the charging experience as efficient and fast as possible, Maserati Grecale Folgore is equipped with automatic battery pre-conditioning, enabled when near an ultra-fast charging point. Pre-conditioning prepares the battery for the charging phase, adjusting its temperature to reduce charging times.
The electric system is based on 400V architecture.
The battery power is discharged towards two 3-in-1 Electric Drive Modules installed on the front and rear axles.
Each Electric Drive Module (EDM) integrate:
– the electric motor
– the high voltage inverter
– the single-gear + differential unit
The rolling chassis shows how both EDM are suspended inside the front and rear subframes through multi-stage elastic bushings to smoothen all vibration modes.
The charge port is connected:
– to the AC on-board charger positioned over the rear axle
– directly to the battery for DC fast charge
Installed over the front axle are:
– the auxiliary power module to convert DC 400V to DC 12V to sustain the low-voltage system
– the high-voltage electric heater, to manage the optimal coolant temperature inside the battery
All Folgore models are equipped with Air suspension.
Front suspension: Wishbone suspension with virtual steering axis + active shock absorbers and air springs
Rear suspension: Multilink suspension + active shock absorbers and air springs
