HORIBA has launched a new chassis dynamometer: the VULCAN 4×4 Compact. It extends the existing VULCAN product series and HORIBA’s portfolio for electrified mobility.
Fitting into existing pits that are now being upgraded to electric vehicle demands and with an improved energy efficiency with up to 97% efficiency the new VULCAN 4×4 extends the existing chassis dynamometer product portfolio. Equipped with the patented synchronous motor technology in each individual roller, it also covers technical requirements in high performance ranges and allows a significantly better torque distribution. Possible uses include NVH tests on chassis dynamometers , LDVs and two-wheelers up to 350 km/h and HORIBA’s solutions for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV).
